My Story
My name is Harry.
I’ve been retired for over ten years now, but my love for the Harry Potter series started long before that. I still remember the first time I opened those books — the magic, the hope, the feeling that the world could be full of wonder. I used to read them to my kids every night, and for a while, Hogwarts felt like a second home for all of us.
When I retired, life slowed down… maybe a little too much. My kids had grown up, my wife had passed a few years earlier, and the house felt empty. One winter afternoon, I found her old sewing machine in the attic. Just seeing it brought back memories of the days we’d make quilts together.
I decided to try making something — a blanket, inspired by the Hogwarts houses. I didn’t know what I was doing at first. My stitches were messy, my hands clumsy. But day after day, I got better. Each blanket became more than just fabric and thread — it carried pieces of my heart.
At first, I made them just for family and friends. Then people started asking if they could buy one. I wasn’t sure about selling them — it felt strange to put a price on something so personal. But then I realized… every order was another way to share warmth and a little bit of magic with someone new.
Now, my days are spent surrounded by colorful fabrics and the sound of Harry Potter audiobooks playing in the background. Every stitch I sew reminds me of my wife, my kids, and the joy this story has brought me over the years.
These blankets aren’t just blankets. They’re my way of keeping the magic alive — and passing it on, one home at a time.
